Spring and Basics

Spring already? Geez, that was fast! It only means one thing: Summer is creeping up on us fast!
The San Diego/Los Angeles area is never really crazy cold anyway,
but I greatly appreciate warm and sunny days! Most of you might know by now that I am such an
effortless style addict. I love using basics and everyday pieces and combining them with a statement
piece or accessory to spark things up a little. This is pretty much in a nut shell what I love
and what I wish to inspire everyday: effortless glam. :)
I spent this past weekend in LA and want to share with you guys one of the outfits I wore
while there. Very comfortable, fresh and of course, EFFORTLESS.

February Favorites!

I can barely believe that it's March already; how crazy is that!??
Time has gone by so fast this year and I am already getting in the mood for Spring.
This past month has been super exciting for me and filled with outdoor
activities here and there. I picked out my favorite products for the month of February,
and just to add a little more than just beauty related items, I chose one of
my favorite aromatic candles that really sparked up my room almost
every day this month. I love to have candles in my room, especially with
the cooler weather, it makes me feel happy and gives me that comfy/fuzzy
at home feeling. Ok, with no more rambling, here are my February Favorites!

1. Physicians Formula Super BB All-In-1 Beauty Balm Powder.
I can't stress enough how much I have loved this powder (it looks pretty new in the picture, that is because I just went out to buy me a new one…eeeek)! It max a medium/full coverage, which works fabulous on me. Other than the fact that it has a smoothing effect that instantly diffuses the appearance of imperfections, evens out skin tone and minimizes the appearance of pores. It's super weightless (probably the most weightless powder I have EVER tried) and on top of all that goodness, it acts as a protective veil from UV damage and moisture loss so skin looks and feels smooth! Can it seriously get any better? Not to mention ALL pros these products do for your skin. Try it an thank me later. ;)
Shade: Light/Medium
Walmart: $12.97

2. Physicians Formula Youthful Wear Spotless Concealer.
Ok, yeah, another PF product. I used to never really add concealer to my everyday look, until this beauty crossed my path. I love it so much. The coverage is amazing and blends beautifully with my skin tone and makeup (yeah, none of that pale/too-white look under the eyes).
Shade: Light/Medium
Walmart:  $15.54

3. Wet Wild Megalast Nail Polish.
I wore this baby like crazy last month! It is a matte polish, but I must say that it went really well with everything I wore, I mean it's a basic at the end of the day. You can either wear it with the cool matte look or add a high-shine top coat.
Color: LAC- My Mani?
WalMart: $15.54

4. Niquea. D Blue Hydrangea Scented Candle.
Lover of hydrangeas, so this one's a must! I love having these lovely scented candles all over my room
and this one is an amazing premium soy-blend candle lured into a cute colored glass vessel and it's scented with a custom fragrance of blue hydrangea and hyacinth, both combined with blonde woods and tonk a bean. Burn time is approximately 55 hours. Yes, PLEASE!
Scent: Blue Hydrangea
Niquead.com: $38.00

5. OLAY Detoxifying Pore Scrub Cleanser.
Definitely this month's go-to face cleanser, makeup remover, dirt remover, morning face cleanse product, and everything in between. I have a little issue with visible pores in my cheek area, so just like a few of the previous products mentioned, this one also diminishes the appearance of pores. SCORE!
Target: $7.97

6. Suave Smooth and Shine Serum.
For years I have had the good habit of adding a little extra smoothing and hydrating serum to the ends of my hair after getting out of the shower. I came across this great Keratin Infused one from SUAVE and works miracles! I have thick and frizzy hair, so this one does the job! Definitely loved it, oh…the scent is AMAZING and I'm not kidding. It almost also works as a calming end-of-the-day scent for me :).
Target: $3.29
